Engineering company MELKAT ltd. was established in 1992, initially as a co-operation of individual technical companies of Mr. George Panierakis, Mechanical – Electrical Engineer NTUA and of Mr. Dimitris Theologitis, Mechanical Engineer NTUA, in order to undertake public and private electromechanical projects and installations.
In 1998, MELKAT extended its operations in the specialized area of maintenance and facility management.
According to the Business Plan MELKAT is about to become an SA company (Societe Anonyme) by the end of 2008.

In order to offer better technical support to customers MELKAT uses iMaint-eng, an integrated software system for the support of equipment maintenance procedures and client management, which combines functionalities of Equipment Management - Maintenance Management, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and Electronic Product Catalog - Characteristics.

- The policy for quality is formulated by the the Managing Board and is based on the following principal:
"In MELKAT we will strive for the continuous improvement of our internal organization and procedures, as well as our employees’ and associates professional standards, in order to offer our client organizations high quality services at the minimum possible cost".
This quality philosophy results in the utmost satisfaction of our clients, thus they continue to trust our organization over long periods of time. In this way we are able to continue growth and investments in further operations improvement.
From the very first day of its operations, MELKAT follows stringent quality standards which are continuously updated. The quality of operations is also attributed to the internal know-how, the compliance to the procedures, the operations and regulations, as followed by the trained personnel.
MELKAT, having recognized the importance of the introduction & compliance with the ISO 9001 standards and having confidence in using them as a mechanism for continuous monitoring and performance improvement, in March 2005 was awarded the ΕLOT ΕΝ ISO 9001:2000, awarded by EQA HELLAS.
In addition, MELKAT, in recognition of the importance of Occupational Health & Safety issues, in April 2008 is about to be awarded the ELOT 1801:2002 Standard which is equivalent to the ISO 18001 Occupational Health & Safety Standards. The certificate will be issued by EQA HELLAS.
